24 more days
The purpose of this blog is for me to keep people updated on my cross country progress.
For anybody who is unaware I have quit my job at Climb High- my last day of work is August 9th. On August 20th I am flying to Portland, OR to start my cross country bike trip. My flight is scheduled to land at 4:35 p.m., and around 10:00 p.m. Bri, my roommate, will be arriving in Portland to join me on the first leg of my journey.
Right now my time outside of work is spent studying maps and worrying about all the details of my trip.
My anxiety levels were maximized this week when somebody broke into my car and stole my wallet, bag, and i pod. As a result of this incident I had to close my bank accounts. Planning a trip in really difficult when you can not access any of your funds.
Today I did what anyone without [access to] money would do if they were planning a trip- I dug through the dumpster of my local bike shop. It is not as depressing as it sounds- it was just a cardboard dumpster. I now have a big box to put my bike in. Now all I have to do is figure out how I am going to get my bike to Portland.
